Through it All

Here is a beautiful hymn that has truly blessed me and uplifted me, especially in times when I felt struggling and unable to continue. I pray it may also bless you!

"Through It All"

I've had many tears and sorrows,
I've had questions for tomorrow,
there's been times I didn't know right from wrong.
But in every situation,
God gave me blessed consultation,
that my trails come to only make me strong.

Chorus:
Through it all,
through it all,
I've learned to trust in Jesus,
I've learned to trust in God.

Through it all,
Through it all,
I've learned to depend upon His Word.

I've been to lots of places,
I've seen a lot of faces,
there's been times I felt so all alone,
But in my lonely hour,
yes, those precious lonely hours
Jesus lets me know that I am His own.

Chorus

I thank God for the mountains,
and I thank Him for the valleys,
I thank Him for the storms He brought me through.
For if I'd never had a problem,
I wouldn't know that Christ could solve them,
And I'd never know what faith in God could do.

Chorus
~Andrae Crouch

Yes, I just want to thank the Lord for everything, that He is there and is not silent even when everything looks dark. Oh, I long to trust in Jesus with all my heart, and depend on His Word! I love Him so... may the Lord bless you today, dear sisters and friends, and may you ever stay close to the Good Shepherd.
In His love,
~Joy

  1. Dear sister Joy, :)
I was just working on an email to a friend of mine, last night, when the Lord put this song on my heart. It blessed me and filled my heart with happiness. :) In the Jesus I know and serve.

Not 10 or 15 minutes later, your blog post came through to me... oh what a confirmation it was to me of the Lord's Love for me. :)

I really needed this yesterday. Praise be to the Lord Jesus, Who I love so much.

Thank you for sharing that sister,
    Carra

  3. Dearest Carra,
It was such a blessing hearing from you, and reading your precious comment!

Wow, what an amazing confirmation from the Lord, that I posted, unknowingly, the same hymn you had on your heart (that the Lord put in your heart). Actually, I had had an uncanny desire to just post this, and today, I felt very much I had a battle to overcome spiritually, this hymn blesses me so much too!! I praise the Lord so much for His mercy and love in encouraging us with this song. Thank you for sharing about this. He so Wonderful, so Good! I love Him so as well and just want to praise. The struggle against the flesh is great, but praise the Lord there is victory!

You've been an encouragement to me, sister, today! P.S. by the way, I shall be replying to your e-mail and April asap Lord willing... just life's been so busy lately as you can imagine!
    Lots of love,
    Joy

  5. Dearest Maddy,
It was a true blessing to read your lovely comment! Yes, I truly love this song too. I think that it is in the those 'lonely hours' we just realize how much we are not alone, but that the Lord Jesus is with us and holds our hands, while we walk through the mountains and yes, even the valleys. And with Jesus, no matter how hard the way, we can rejoice!

I thank the Lord so much for you, Maddy, and you are in my prayers too. Blessings,
    ~Joy
